BEWARE! Sanchez to drop new album April 25

The countdown has begun!

In five days time, legendary reggae singer Kevin Jackson, aka Sanchez, will drop his newest studio album, Beware, which will be available on all music platforms.

Sanchez, who has once again teamed up with producer Lloyd ‘John John’ James (son of King Jammy’s) for this musical offering, is confident that all his loyal fans will find songs on the album that speak straight to them. The 14-track album sees the in-demand singer stepping outside of his comfort zone and treading successfully into previously uncharted musical waters. Beware also sees Sanchez doing collaborations with some of reggae/dancehall’s finest, including Sizzla Kalonji, singer Tony Curtis, the Doctor Beenie Man and upcoming female singer, Mowet.

In an interview with Riddim-donmagazine.com, the singing canary spoke of  the energy and creativity that went into the production of this album, which just happens to be his 36th.

“It is always a pleasure working with John John. This is the fifth album he is producing for me and all I have to say is that it gets better each time. There is reggae, there is danchehall and there are other musical flavours which combine to make it a great album.” Sanchez declared. “There were some great recording sessions which, looking back, we should have had a video camera rolling, because the vibes and the energy and the creativity were way way up.”

He also had hgh praises for Sizzla, Beenie Man, Tony Curtis, Mowet, the musicians, song-writer Fitz Livermore and the entire production team.

Beware takes its title from one of the songs on the album, will be released on April 25 on the John John record label.

Sanchez, who is this year celebrating a milestone 30 years in the music business, noted that after three decades in the business, he is happy that he has carved out his own niche, but insisted that there is still so much more for him to explore.

“It is a learning situation that is continuous. While there are some songs that are classics and which the fans will always gravitate to, as an artiste you have be on your ‘A’ game at all times and that means being aware of the subtle changes, moods and shifts in the music nad in the business itself,” said the man whose outstanding performance at Rebel Salute 2016 is still being talked about.

“It was just a whole heap of energy plus the love from the fans that made Rebel Salute so wonderful,” he said in response to Riddim-don Magazine’s question about that particular event.

“The people were hungry for Sanchez,” he said with a laugh. “I was eager to give and they were eager to receive, so it was the perfect equation.”

Meanwhile, Sanchez, who is gearing up for a Caribbean tour starting in May and a seven-show concert series in Canada in June, is enjoying chart activity with the catchy single, Nah Ease Up, which is currently sitting at #4 on the South Florida Top 25 Reggae Chart. The song is produced by veteran producer Lloyd Campbell, with whom he has scored success in the past with the single Frenzee, also on the Joe Fraser label.

Interestingly, Sanchez is also completing yet another album, his 37th, also with Campbell.
