Foundation Reggae singer and father of Tarrus, Jimmy Riley funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 6 at the Webster Memorial Church on Half-Way Tree Road in Kingston.
The singer who throughout his career has recorded with The Sensations and Uniques, eventually went solo and in 1979 made his presence felt with Love and Devotion and My Woman’s Love.
Riley enjoyed other hits such as Bang Bang, Black Mother Prays and It’s Gonna Get Rough.
Staying current his combination with his son Pull Up Selector also scored major points.
The thanksgiving service will be commence at 1:00 pm will be more of a “celebration of the late singer’s life, this according to Saxophonist Dean Fraser in media reports.
Those planning to attend the service are encouraged to wear white. Riley’s body will be cremated.
Riley died last week Wednesday at age 68, after succumbing to his battle with cancer.
