It would appear that the vicinities named “Back Road” in Jamaica have become a haven for the sex trade. The infamous “Back Road” in Portmore, St. Catherine is noted for its nightly activities and now Falmouth’s “Back Road” have taken up the sex trade as well.
On Saturday night the police clampdown on Falmouth’s in-famed ‘Back Road,‘ which has become the new hot spot for prostitutes along with their numerous clients.
The sex trade in Falmouth’s “Back Road” have been making life miserable for residents who does not condone the act. Especially, an elderly couple who are complaining that their property is being invaded by prostitutes.
84-year-old, Franklyn Henry, one of the elderly couple whose property the prostitute used for the sex trade, was a happy man on Sunday morning after the police raided the area.
Franklyn Henry had the following to say: “Action has been taken to relieve me of my misery. In addition to the raid by the police, the Jamaica Public Service has installed a very bright light on the pole just outside my window. Now that the police have intervened, I hope they will now stay away.”
Approximately three dozen individuals were arrested by law enforcers on Saturday night for the illicit trade. Among those arrested are individuals from the parishes of Kingston, St Ann, and St Catherine inclusive of a 57-year-old woman.
According to a police source: “We conducted a raid in the area and a total of 32 persons, 15 women, and 17 men, were arrested. We will be taking a no-nonsense approach to keeping these people out of the area.”
