There is not a calypso lover who has not jammed at one point or another to the very catchy anthem ‘Hot Hot Hot’.
As the Montserrat singer the late Alphonsus “Arrow” Cassell blast out the words “feeling hot hot hot hot,” the dancing very ‘tun up!’
Well the later singer now heads the list of people who will be awarded at the third annual National Honors and Awards Ceremony in that island next week Wednesday.
Cassell, also known as “The Mighty Arrow”, will be bestowed with the Order of National Hero for his “outstanding contribution to culture in the field of calypso and especially his unparalleled international achievement in the genre of Soca. His song Hot-Hot-Hot has been sung in many languages worldwide”.
A statement from the Office of the Premier the awards are to honor Montserratians who have selflessly contributed and committed to the development and advancement of Montserrat.
“The National Honors and awards were created to foster patriotism and national pride in Montserrat.”
