Former Jamaican boxing champion killed in Atlanta

41-year-old O’Neil Bell a former Jamaican Boxing champion was shot and killed in Atlanta on Wednesday in what looks to be a robbery attempt.

According to reports the Jamaican and another man were robbed after getting off a bus minutes after midnight.

The police reportedly found a man shot in the hip and Bell lying in the street. He was pronounced dead.

The surviving victim, a 28-year-old man, was transported to hospital. Investigators believe the suspects committed a car-jacking at a Walmart elsewhere in Atlanta.

 

O’Neil ‘SuperNova’ Bell, was a former cruiser weight world boxing champion.
