When reggae/gospel singer George Nooks sings ‘Ride Out Your Storm’ he knows exactly what he is singing about. The singer has being ‘riding out’ a financial storm since 2013 when his account was depleted of its funds by an employee of the First Caribbean International Bank in Jamaica.
Since then it has been an uphill battle getting back over $15 million which was allegedly taken out of it.
The alleged perpetrator – a female employee who was implicated in the act has since been charged with larceny as a servant, forgery, uttering forged documents and falsification of accounts. She is currently before the court.
Speaking with Riddim Don Magazine Nooks said it is his faith that is carrying him through as there were times he was totally frustrated by the way the case is being “dragged out”.
“I believe though that at the end of the day, I will get back what’s mine. It is not easy though, knowing I have my resources and cannot touch it,” he said.
