Hunt on for man linked to stabbing death of JC student

It was a sad day in Jamaica yesterday when Jamaica College third former Nicholas Francis was stabbed to death by a man who robbed him of his cellphone.

The incident which took place near his school saw young Francis resisting the thief’s attempt to take his phone. It was then he was stabbed in the hand and chest and shoved off the bus. A search is now on for the killer.

Education Minister, Senator Ruel Reid is appealing to those who saw to come forward.

And in light of  yesterday’s incident the Education Minister says the authorities might have to take a second look at increasing security on public passenger buses.

This is the second time that the school has been plunged into mourning as less than two months ago Jordan Miller – one of his classmates died of natural causes.

Riddim-Don Magazine sends condolences to his family and schoolmates.
