Jimmy Cliff to mark 68th birthday on stage in Bahrain

There is no slowing down for legendary reggae singer Jimmy Cliff who is looking forward to celebrate his 68th birthday in fine style.

The ska reggae singer will be performing in Bahrain on his birthday and for his fans it will be a thrill.

Jimmy Cliff has not graced the Jamaican stage in a while, in fact we are not even sure he has been in the States much, but one thing we can say this reggae stalwart is in crazy demand on the European side.

With a vast catalogue of songs which includes mega hits such as Many Rivers To Cross, Rebel In Me, Wonderful world Beautiful People, Reggae Night and the classic The Harder They Come the catalyst for the infamous movie of the same name.

In an interview with GulfWeekly Cliff rapped about his reason for carrying on instead of settling down to some well-deserved rest.

“I have too much work yet to do on my mission here on this planet.”

The Grammy Award winner will be performing on Friday at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir and he cannot wait. “I’m looking forward to performing in Bahrain. Blessed love to all.”
