Foundation Reggae singer Toots Hibbert has finally settled the lawsuit he filed against the organizers of the outdoor festival where he was hit in the head with a Vodka bottle.
The event which took place in Richmond, Virginia in 2013 according to the Richmond Times- Dispatch has been settled after attorneys for Hibbert and Venture Richmond, the organizer of the Dominion Riverrock festival, both asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit last month.
There is no information on what the settlement is as neither of the parties disclosed any details. However, Toots, born Frederick Hibbert had filed a $20 million lawsuit in 2014 where he accused Richmond of negligence in planning security and alcoholic beverage sales.
The bottle thrower William Connor Lewis received a six-month jail sentence for throwing the bottle. Hibbert’s attorneys said Hibbert received a concussion and was left with an altered personality.
Toots Hibbert is known for songs such as Sweet and Dandy, Monkey Man, Reggae Got Soul and Pressure Drop.
