VP records will return with its Strictly The Best Series on November 18 and according to them it is something for the musical collections.

Over the years the record company has released some of the biggest hits through this compilation series and this one should be no different.

Strictly The Best’s annual series provides DJs and fans alike with the hottest hits breaking in dancehall and roots reggae for the fall, winter and new year to come.

Strictly the Best Vol. 54 rallies the most in-demand roots and lover’s rock singers for a must-have set from artists like Ikaya, Tarrus Riley, Romain Virgo, MAGIC ft. Sean Paul. Alborosie feat. Protoje, Sizzla Ft. Jah Cure, Raging Fyah and Jah9.

Strictly the Best Vol. 55 contains the season’s most popular, cutting-edge dancehall anthems, banging in the clubs and on Caribbean radio from the likes of Vershon, Alkaline, Vybz Kartel, Mr. Vegas, Spice, Chi Ching Ching, Masicka and Dexta Daps.
As an added touch this year, each volume features a bonus album of classic hits. Vol. 54, the lovers rock and roots edition, has a bonus disc of classics from Jamaica’s celebrated vocal groups – including The Wailing Souls, The Heptones, The Mighty Diamonds, T.O.K, Morgan Heritage & more. The dancehall version Vol. 55’s bonus disc spotlights famous duets from iconic deejays (U.S. equilvalent of rap vocalists) paired with reggae singers. Fans can reminisce with anthems like “Twice Mt Age” by Shabba Ranks ft. Krystal, “Bonafide Love” by Wayne Wonder ft. Buju Banton and “Hot Gal Today” by Mr. Vegas & Sean Paul.
